Excellent drill. Cuts fast and picks up chips well. Used it to remove most of the debris from grooves in 6" x 6" pine joists. Also bought a 3/4 inch bit that is longer for drilling holes for oak pegs. Worked just fine. A few caveats: With a heavy-duty corded drill bit, the bit can go through wood quickly. If a knot or misalignment throws the drill off course, unless you drill slowly, you don't have much time to correct it. If you drill slowly, the drill can snag/stick and a strong drill will want to turn you. Hold tight.
