A 9 inch balance bike is hard to find. We have a Syrian hamster and he quickly outgrew the 7 inch wheel we bought from the pet store. There are other much cheaper options but they are mostly metal and grill like a screen which is noisy and not suitable for your small pet from what I've read. I have to admit I felt like I went with this furry friend. I'm so glad I bought this! To date, it has exceeded my expectations, our hamster constantly runs around in it and at the same time has a nice even spine, he is very comfortable in it! It is very durable. The base is made of steel/metal and is heavy enough to stay on the mat. VERY QUIET! It is easy to disassemble and clean. In general, if you take care of your furry friends, like our family. I can highly recommend this bike.
