Design flaw - annoying and dangerous

Makes a nice coffee pot with brewed coffee and without the design flaw I would give it 5 stars. Unfortunately, the downside is both annoying and dangerous. At the top of the pot, where the lid snaps into place, the pot has a metal rim that curves in (points down). This results in a small chute along the rim that catches and holds a small amount of liquid when the pot is inverted. This means that when rinsing the jug, not all of the liquid can be poured out of the jug. You can drain most of the water, but a small amount will always flow back into the pot when it is returned to its normal upright position. At first it just annoyed me, but it turned out to be dangerous because the metal edge curved in and down into the pan is actually sharp. If you put your hand in the pot to wash or dry the innards, you run the risk of cutting yourself. That's exactly what happened to me and I got a nasty cut on my finger. It's a shame because otherwise it's a great percolator
