They are, indeed, well constructed.

The fit was supposed to be comfortable right out of the box. Well, that is about 3/4 right. The seams over the toes is rigid enough that you DO need to break them in. They rubbed my feet pretty badly, enough that I was looking forward to getting them off. Don’t get me wrong, these are some of the very best boots I have ever owned. I am looking forward to them being broken in because they really will be an all-day wear. That stiffness is the only detractor to them, which is why 4 instead of 5 stars.
