So yes. on Jewelry Findings

I bought this to display handmade jewelry that a friend gave me to sell. So I wasn't looking for anything spectacular or memorabilia. But it's so cheaply made I'd be embarrassed to give it to a kid just to dress up. He wouldn't even last five seconds. If it were just lying closed on the dresser it would look good on the outside, relatively good in fact. I have the ones with matching stitching (i.e. not black with white stitching etc.). Cons: Dividers made of thin, very flexible cardboard. The adjustable ones are not long enough so they just fall off. The one next to the earrings isn't even fully attached, neither are the long pieces on the side. The felt only covers three sides, leaving the underside exposed to dirt and wear. They didn't bother making the cover wide enough to allow for cheap foam padding on the annular sections (the same stuff as peanut wrap foam) so it's clearly visible on the black felt. Likewise, some of the necklace hooks were not closed, and silver metal was visible at the top. I expect the flimsy material to peel off everyone with repeated use. The latch is finicky and not fully attached to the box, so the parts move independently. It's loose and doesn't fit properly. I had a terrible time unlocking it. In fact, this isn't a key, just two pins that barely fit in the lock. I was afraid that if I fiddled with the jammed lock I would roll it in vain. Surprisingly, the key seems to be more durable than any of the box's other components. But I'll never try to lock it up again. In this case, make sure the tape is tucked in. Pros: The top compartments and necklace hooks are large enough to hold rings, necklaces, earrings, etc. if you don't mind falling dividers. I like chains in the bag so they don't get tangled. The bottom compartment is big enough for bracelets or pins. However, I have carefully examined all boxes of this type. It seems that in this price range and a little higher they are all of the same quality, regardless of the manufacturer; and almost identical. I got this "open box" for $13. If you decide to buy one, the one sold for $15.99 by another manufacturer appears to be the same as this one, while others sell for more.
