Review on 👶 Retractable Baby Gate by Dreambaby - Black - Fits Openings up to 55" (140cm) Wide - Model L943 by Melissa Mack

We have had this gate for about 9 months now. It's at the top of our stairs and we had no problem with our 18 month old climbing up or down (but then I keep him on the same floor as me so he's not usually very motivated). Anchors are pretty terrible, so be sure to invest in good quality ones. I'm giving 3 stars mostly out of disappointment. The release mechanism works correctly 50-75% of the time and it can be incredibly frustrating when you have a small child and have to squeeze and twist 4 or 5 times to release. Sometimes it works on the first try, but it doesn't feel like the norm. I'm guessing they were cheap on internals because honestly that shouldn't be a problem. At the same time, it never closed with open gates, so we feel safe. Fix your Dreambaby release and it will be great!
