Metal, Plastic. Imported. RETRACTABLE: For those times when you're bringing in groceries or having company, the gate will retract out of the way, leaving plenty of room to move. Effective but unusual

We have had this gate for about 9 months now. It's at the top of our stairs and we had no problem with our 18 month old climbing up or down (but then I keep him on the same floor as me so he's not usually very motivated). Anchors are pretty terrible, so be sure to invest in good quality ones. I'm giving 3 stars mostly out of disappointment. The release mechanism works correctly 50-75% of the time and it can be incredibly frustrating when you have a small child and have to squeeze and twist 4 or

attractive gate; Works well with practice - if installed correctly

I will not repeat what many have already said about this product. I've attached some pictures so you can see for yourself. I almost didn't buy this product because of the many negative reviews about kids pushing or pulling the latches to the point where they release and pull back. Looking at their photos and reading the instructions that came with my gate, it is obvious that they did not adjust the gate latches correctly. If you read the instructions and use the handy templates that come with…

Pretty good but a bit finicky

Works well once broken in. Initially, the spring pulling it back in was very stiff, making it very difficult to pull it out; but after some use it became loose which isn't too bad as my 5 year old snaps easily enough now with little effort. I only gave it four stars instead of five because it doesn't open with one hand, as you have to pull and hold the screen with one hand and then snap the bottom of the tab on the edge of the screen onto the latch with the other side or it doesn't fit properly

Great product, lousy instructions.

Bought this to keep the dogs outside when we're away. The quality of the product is good and it is quite durable. As someone said in a previous review I would NOT use it at the top of the stairs if you are using it as a child's gate. The child could push it far enough to get under it and go down the stairs it would go down. I have dogs and teenagers. It's your own fault if you fall down the stairs :) It's a bit cumbersome to use, as you have to loosen it from one side and open it from the other

  • Useless features

Use a spirit level to ensure your stencil is perfectly vertical.

The trigger mechanism can be a bit tricky to learn how to spin properly but it doesn't interfere with play, even my older kids learned it. It's just mesh stretched across the door, so I don't think it will provide enough support for a determined pet, but it worked great for my child (although she tried to squeeze through the gap below! ) I *much* We recommend using a bubble level to ensure the template is perfectly vertical on both sides of the door. I have one side perfectly vertical and the…

Sorry but in one word "junk "

Looks like a good product but it sucks. VERY difficult to install. So you only have to do this once. But more importantly, IT JUST DON'T WORK. To expand the fence you need to press down and rotate the switch. Well maybe. In most cases this will not work. You have to try and repeat and repeat for it to expand. If you stop halfway, it blocks and you can start over. Unless you pull the fence straight out, the entire block will fly off the wall and hit your arm. Hoping that there won't be a small…
