Looks like a good product but it sucks. VERY difficult to install. So you only have to do this once. But more importantly, IT JUST DON'T WORK. To expand the fence you need to press down and rotate the switch. Well maybe. In most cases this will not work. You have to try and repeat and repeat for it to expand. If you stop halfway, it blocks and you can start over. Unless you pull the fence straight out, the entire block will fly off the wall and hit your arm. Hoping that there won't be a small child around at that time. There is also no way to "mount" the device to the wall. So there is a constant risk of the orthosis popping out. Imagine a car seat belt that starts to buckle and you have to let it fully retract before you can put it back on. To extend the fence, you need to extend it way past the bracket so you can SLOWLY feed it back into the brackets. Go too far and start over. And remember, it takes many, many tries before it sticks. So once you put it on the mount and want to take it off. ok, now it's locked. You have to flick the switch over and over again hoping it will let go. In fact, it's easier to remove the entire block from the wall and let it retract. bottom line. it's garbage. The worst thing is that now I have holes in the wall and railing. It was a terrible purchase. :-(
