Sturdy construction but I hate cheap drywall anchors

This support frame for this broom holder and also the hooks are thick and the spring clamp is strong but not too strong to get something in and out. Watch the video for removal and installation. With the rather short overall length of this broom holder, I was hoping to secure at least one screw in the bolt, but the limited mounting space made it impossible to screw into anything solid. I usually keep a large stash of self drilling drywall anchors that make a nice clean entry hole, are easily removed and are very strong, something like this https://www.amazon.com/s?k=self+drilling + drywall + Anchor; but now I'm done and had to be content with the supplied dowels. These cheap wall anchors tend to pull out of the wall with little force and I imagine removing the broom handle from the spring clip will speed this up over time. Otherwise it's a good holder, just wish it was longer, it included two of the best wall anchors per holder and maybe a third hole for more mounting flexibility, like a center screw in a rack and two others with wall anchors.

Pros
  • Garage storage
Cons
  • Expensive
