This turns your Sony A7I/II/III into a full-frame camera that fits in your jacket pocket!

I have 4 other lenses for my Sony A7II and they were all much more expensive than this one but this is the lens that is 90% on my camera at the time. With this lens, my A7II literally fits in any jacket pocket. My Sony A7II is now smaller and lighter than my Fujifilm mirrorless camera (APS-C) and my Nikon DX DSLR. I never thought that my smallest and lightest camera would be my full frame camera. The build quality is impressive for the price. The lens feels solid despite its body being mostly plastic. The lens has a regular lens cap that can be unscrewed, which is convenient because you don't have to worry about it accidentally popping off. You can use threaded filters with the lens when the cover is unscrewed. There's also a small lens cap that snaps onto and removes from the main lens cap, allowing you to shoot through a small hole in the main lens cap (see below). I used this lens in the rain and it got very wet but didn't break. I carry this lens with me every day when I travel and it's been rattling around in my bag for a few months now and it's sturdy with no nicks or anything. In this case, it will not go anywhere and will not break. I leave this lens on unless I'm shooting a job or something. It is ideal for everyday shooting. You can simply switch your Sony to "APS-C on" in the camera menu and then switch to 50mm f2.8 if you need range or want something more flattering for portraits. The image from the cropped sensor is still good enough for most applications, so in that sense this cheap little lens is perfect for dual-purpose 35mm and 50mm lenses. The picture quality is excellent. You won't get the insanely shallow depth of field you would get with f1.4, but blurring the background is boring and lazy to shoot anyway. You want something more discreet for street photography than this. It even has that little lens cap that you can detach from the large lens cap and then shoot through the hole in the cap very quickly - it's very discreet (Sony shutters aren't very discreet, but that's not the lens' fault). . ). The autofocus is as fast as my Sony 50mm f1.8 and 85mm f1.8 in very low light. In most cases, f2.8 is wide enough in normal lighting for the lens to focus quickly without problems. I use this lens for NYC street photography and take a lot of photos at night and in poorly lit subway stations and have never had any autofocus issues. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LENS. If you're looking for a great pancake lens for road work or everyday use, then this thing is the bees' knees.
