Received a pair of these 6 months ago and after fitting them to my 2004 Tundra I was impressed by how bright they are compared to regular halogen bulbs . Installation wasn't bad - it looked like a regular lightbulb - but I was disappointed that there was absolutely no way to get it working with a dust cover. I think it serves more to prevent anything from getting into the headlight assembly so I just skipped it and kept an eye on it to make sure dirt/moisture didn't get in there. Everything seemed fine. However, after only 6 months I noticed that recently one of them failed. I checked and it was still connected well. I actually swapped two lightbulbs. At first the dead device started working again and I thought "oh bad connection" but then it stopped again after less than a minute. Maybe its movement temporarily shook a weak connection inside, but it's definitely dead. I put back the old halogen bulbs and it's sad because I'm used to these LED blocks, but if they don't last more than 6 months. then I don't know what to say. I think next time (when I get back into LED) I'll go for devices without active fans that instead use those braided metal loops to dissipate heat. Does it at least fit in a dust cover? And something with a higher rating, especially for durability. I would pay more for something that gives me more than 6 months. I mean come on
