Lian Li price without quality

I'm a total Lian Li user so the price of this case didn't shock me too much but I understand it might be a bit expensive for a case. For the first time in 18 years I bought a non-Lian Li case because the original shape of this Thermaltake really inspired me to make a mod. The case is really heavy, so that's a good sign. But it's also steel and plastic that don't really go with Lian Li's anodized aluminum, and where you're unlikely to find plastic at all, the TT's bodywork is mostly steel with some really nice and heavy glass side panels. The side panels that mimic the air intakes are unfortunately plastic, as is the cabin up front. Not as good as we would like. On the other hand, the case is huge and offers plenty of space for large radiators, pumps and expansion tanks. This is an open case, so there will definitely be some fan and pump noise. I also expect dust to accumulate a little faster inside. What really impressed me about this case is how easy it is to take apart. Almost nothing is riveted, and with a simple screwdriver you can easily modify and repaint every single element. This is a very good moment for modding. A small nuance I must add is that there is no manufacturing accuracy yet. Some parts need to be turned a bit to get the holes to line up, so we're not really talking about sub-millimeter quality production here, which at this price point should be something we should consider.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • boring packaging
