Adapter, not a wall mount

Attention - this is an adapter, not a phone wall mount - and needs to be attached to an existing wall mount. I was expecting something to replace the existing wall mount with a DSL filter - I did it on a different line but can't remember where I got the wall mount from. problems? This adds another connection in the series, which can affect quality and cause the phone to stick out an additional 3/4 inch from the wall.
