I buy this as a DSL filter for my old telephone wall mount in the kitchen. It doesn't fit snugly in the phone jack, so it offers absolutely no DSL filtering. So, I have one of these dangling things sticking out of my wall. It wasn't worth sending back, so it went in the trash.

Attention - this is an adapter, not a phone wall mount - and needs to be attached to an existing wall mount. I was expecting something to replace the existing wall mount with a DSL filter - I did it on a different line but can't remember where I got the wall mount from. problems? This adds another connection in the series, which can affect quality and cause the phone to stick out an additional 3/4 inch from the wall.

It came quickly. Easy installation in about 5 seconds. I like that I don't need another filter. Looks great. I still have a buzz in my line so I'll have to dig deeper and see what's actually causing it. The other phones in the house don't ring. Just the one in the kitchen. Maybe I need a new cable or a new phone? I haven't installed a phone on it yet, so I can't tell if the little grips will break or not. I have it on a phone stand so even short people can reach the phone in an emergency.

When I installed this new DSL filter it just didn't work - apparently the contacts were bad and the phone didn't Select. I reinstalled the old one and it still worked (I had to buy a new DSL filter because the old one was too long and the new wall phone was too small to cover it). painless but the only option was a refund. There is no hope of a replacement. I was able to find a suitable replacement at Radio Shack for only 3 times the price. But it worked.

This filter fits over the wall phone's existing metal plate. This allows you to use the same line for telephone and DSL Internet access. I liked that the tabs that hold the posts are easy to install. By pulling out the tabs, the filter can be easily inserted into the telephone connection. Then I just tucked the tabs back in and they snapped into place. Then the phone was just installed on the filter, and I got a beep. The weak point of the product is that the phone stands are made of plastic. I
