Review on 🔌 Legrand Pass & Seymour 3861CC5 Heavy-Duty Straight Blade Outlet by Tom Plowman

I needed a 6-50 socket for an EVSE plug-in. I ordered these as well as Leviton and Eaton 6-50 outlets to see which would work best for my setup. I need an outlet that is installed bottom up when the EVSE is plugged in from the top. Additionally, the #8 line comes in a 2-speed, bottom-mount 4x4 surface mount box. Pass & Seymour wires run from below which is perfect for my application. Eaton was the opposite, wiring from the top. Leviton cables on the back that might have worked, but the Leviton socket was the least durable of the three sockets, it just looked and felt cheaper. The Pass & Seymour connections were also the strongest, most heavy-duty bolts, holding the wiring very securely. I'm sure an electrician would have no problem plugging in one of these outlets, but for me the P&S was the best choice, with the simplest, easiest wiring and most reliable connections.
