Exactly what I was looking for!

I am very happy with this microphone. When I decided to buy a USB mic to play virtual D&D during the pandemic, I first wanted one that I could use for non-professional music recording as I play multiple instruments and sing. I no longer have my old setup of condenser mics, XLR cables, phantom powered mixer, etc., but I knew I needed something that would deliver good USB quality and work well with my MacBook, t.to. like any other device I want to use it with. Having worked at Guitar Center for many years and as a musician having previously helped run the studio, I was really excited about Blue mics and Shure mics and was confident that I would choose one of the Blue Yeti mics would. I already have a Blue Snowball, but I wanted something more versatile and of better quality. After checking out the Blue Yeti mics, I found that they don't work well with Apple products, which is a serious issue for me. I noticed this AKG mic in the search results and decided to do some research. It turned out to be exactly what I was looking for! I knew that AKG is a high quality brand like Blue and Shure, so I was sure I wasn't being scammed. You might think that's snobbery, but unless I see the brand in the Guitar Center store or find it on the Sweetwater site, I usually avoid it. There are many manufacturers of inferior music equipment out there who are happy to take advantage of people who don't know any better. Carefully. Anyway, I finally decided to buy this particular mic from everything I've seen in my price range. It arrived in a few days and I was delighted. The sound quality is amazing. If you're new and don't know much about mics but need good quality to record interviews, podcasts, or create solo music that sounds great without throwing thousands into the recording studio, this is a great little setup. . I could see the singer/songwriter playing acoustic guitar and doing a good demo on it. You don't need to know the microphone pattern names like cardioid, bidirectional, omnidirectional, hypercardioid, etc. This mic uses simple names and it's easy to switch between them. I definitely recommend this microphone and am happy with my purchase. 😉
