Amazing Kitchen Makeover Kit on a Budget

This was a great kit to refresh our dated kitchen. We just bought a house 6 months ago and we're not yet quite ready to invest in a brand new kitchen and this kit has certainly been a great way to freshen it up in the meantime! First, let me say that this is not the case in any other world. Remodeling of the entire kitchen in 1 day. All in all it took me a full day and six days with 2 or 3 hours after work. I also did 90% of the project myself so a helper might speed things up. It took me a full Sunday to get ready (remove cabinet doors and hardware, clean and wipe down shelves, clean all doors (mine are plastic), sand real wood cabinets and then clean). Days 2, 3 and 4 were spent refueling - not included. I used Kiltz. Due to the bad weather I only had a small work station in my garage which also lengthened the process as I could only work on 5 or 6 cabinet doors/drawers at a time. The primer took a full 24 hours to dry, so a full day on the front of the door, a day on the back and a day on the sides 😅 I spent days 4 and 5 painting cabinets and doors with the kit. The finish was great and the paint dried MUCH faster than the primer which was a huge relief. I also painted the old hinges with black spray paint the same day. (Drying time 24 hours) On day 6 we assembled cabinets using old painted hinges and new hardware bought on Amazon. I also touched up a few spots here and there after they were hung and in good light to spot any imperfections. Overall I am very impressed with this project. In any case, the time and cost work has greatly influenced our kitchen! Time - 6 days. Total cost: $118. The set costs $70. Pens - $23. Kiltz Primer - $10.
