This emergency ladder features a convenient emergency release strap that also doubles as a 'tie-strap' to hold all rungs in place during storage for quick and easy movement and storage can simply be out of the window in an emergency. Haven't had to use mine yet but it seems very sturdy and has a quality finish without being overly heavy. I've tested and modeled it carefully so I'll know how it goes when the time comes. Just having this in my second floor rooms makes me feel safer.
