I was excited to get the pearl on sterling silver safety pin hoop earrings. They looked so elegant and fashionable in the photos that I loved wearing them. However, when I received it, I was a bit disappointed. The huggy style hoop earrings are really small (as described) but I found the faux pearls to be too big for my liking. The white gold plating looks nice but tarnishes quickly and is difficult to keep in its best shape. I was also disappointed that these earrings were quite difficult to put on even though they were sold as boutonniere. Despite the design, the actual craftsmanship of the earrings is anything but outstanding. The tires are thin and feel flimsy and although I haven't worn them for long I have doubts about their durability. On the other hand, these earrings are very affordable, so if you're looking for minimalist pieces that you can wear for a season or two, they might be worth trying. I also appreciate the versatility of these earrings; They look great on their own or paired with other earrings, but you'll have to endure the inconvenience of putting them on. Overall I'm rating the small silver pearl hoop earrings 3 stars out of 5 as they didn't live up to my expectations but they might be better suited to those with other standards.
