Doesn't work with Nexus 10 but works with Chromecast!

Purchased with Micro USB Host OTG Cable powered by Micro USB (https://smile.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field -keywords=B009YPYORM ) that need to work together to access Ethernet. Unfortunately it doesn't work with my Nexus 10. I've tried connecting it 10 different ways. I tried to root my device. I've tried 4 different apps that promise to enable ethernet but don't. I connected an ethernet USB stick to my computer and it works fine. It absolutely refuses to work with my Nexus 10. I don't know how all these people made it work with their Nexus 10. In their reviews, they don't give any details about what they had to do to get it working. I tried asking questions here and all I got were answers about how it works on their Chromebook or on their PC. Why even waste time answering my question if you won't be providing any useful feedback? Do not purchase this item if you intend to use it with your Nexus 10. It won't work. EDIT: My Nexus 10 died a few days ago due to battery flex cable issues. When this happened I decided to try an alternative use of this and the Y splitter I bought. That's it, it works 100% as a Chromecast Ethernet solution. As long as you use the Y-cable I mentioned in my previous post, you can have a clean Ethernet connection with your original Chromecast and never worry about Wi-Fi issues again. Thanks to this great new solution, I've upgraded my rating to 4 stars. I don't use it the way I originally intended, but its alternative uses are almost as good.

Pros
  • Highly Readable Control Panel
Cons
  • Legacy Model
