Easy install, good hardware, a few things to look out for

Generally a good product. I don't understand where other people's complaints about this drop are coming from - if you use the mounting hardware provided you won't have any problems with it. However, there are a few issues to be aware of. First, if you put it in a corner, you will have a hard time. Mostly because there are rivets sticking out at both ends. Second, there isn't enough front-to-back depth for anything other than passenger tires. My 4Runner tires (pictured) are fully balanced on the foremost cross member, which puts extra stress on the mount (essentially cantilevered) and rubs against the wall at the back. These tires are 265-70R16, which isn't much by today's standards. Other than that, the installation went smoothly. The included mounting hardware is oddly pretty good for a solution at this price point. We tested it by sitting on a rack (about 320 pounds total with my wife and I) and it held up without complaint. 4 tires fit across, no problem. I would recommend the following to all potential buyers: - The size of your tires. If they are full size light truck/SUV/truck tires, just be aware that they may scratch the wall this rack is mounted on. Put a towel or something similar inside. -- For extra security, run a tether or cable through the spokes of your tires and attach them to an overhead pole -- The folding feature is pretty much useless -- Have a buddy if you actually drop your tires there, none else complaints
