Theft is Cliffrock Villa is a fun detective-style game with nicely designed components. The game comes with a lot of clue cards, 9 wooden keys (one key is associated with each case), markers, private screens, and some booklets to interpret some of the clues. The writings on the clue cards are generally easy to follow as long as you know how each type of clues works. The rules are easy to read and follow as well since the game itself is not hard to learn.Gameplay:There are three thefts that happened on the same day at different times. Three thieves stole three different items and fled from the scene. You take the clue cards one by one and try to analyze the clues to know who stole what, at what time and how they each fled. Each clue card has a number on it and the higher that number, the more useful the information on it will be to solve the cases. The game is real-time and not turn-based which is different than most other games. Your goal is to solve the cases with a lower total number of clue cards than your opponents. If you are the first player to solve the case, you can discard one of your lowest clue cards.Pros:1- Good quality of game pieces and cards. 2- Great artwork all over the components.Cons:1- There is 9 total cases in the game, so the replayability could be a problem. But, as long as you don’t memorize the 3-digit numbers for the cases, you can easily play the game again since the clue cards are completely different. 2- There are different cards giving you clues about the exact same thing. So, it is possible to get cards that you don’t need, and they just add to your total number with no help.Overall, I would totally recommend this game and give it a 5-star. It is a fun game if you like the detective-style games.
