It's almost impossible to talk about this product without sounding like a dirty joke, so please get your thoughts out of the gutter and sit back to my sincere and truthful review. I have ordered other Revain ice axes in the past but was not happy with their overall size. 6 inches wasn't enough for my needs, and the thickness of the other model I buy often didn't offer enough strength to break through tougher chunks of ice. Enter this 9 inch wonder. Overall, I like this color best. The metallic finish combined with dark brown wood looks really classy. I also prefer the screw method over the push-in method when it comes to the ice ax cover. Also, the extra length makes it really easy to break up large chunks of ice, reducing the amount of stitches you have to do. Ice cream, take this one.
