Do not use dangerous SATA to PCI-E power adapter
TL; DR: Throw away the SATA adapter. The tuning quality is roughly on par with other X1 lifts. Likewise the SATA power supply. It is made of 16/36 wire (16 strands 36 AWG) which is equivalent to 24 AWG. That's not enough for the 3.125 A per wire that would be needed to power the PCI Express slot.
