I'm not a techie so I can only speak from what I know. I have fios internet, but my router is in the basement. So everything works in the basement. But one of my upstairs smart TVs and my upstairs computers were having connectivity issues. So we watched all the YouTube videos, read all the reviews and made a decision. And since then I haven't had any more problems. Doors open, doors closed, we don't even think about it anymore. I have a big family with a lot of people using the internet at the same time and I've never had to think about it. So for me in my 2000 square foot house this works great! We placed it high up in the middle of the top floor and now we have stable internet everywhere in our house.
