Handy device for notebooks without Ethernet and with multiple USB ports

Many laptops these days only have two USB ports and no Ethernet ports - in many cases you may need a wired network connection. It kills two birds with one stone by combining an Ethernet adapter with a 3-port USB hub since you'll need the extra ports anyway. Ethernet uses the Realtek chipset and worked well on my Windows 10 laptop, which installed it automatically with no additional drivers required. However, this didn't work on my Nintendo Switch - I don't think the switch supports ethernet adapters with the Realtek chipset. It has a very bright blue LED that lights up when powered. However, there are no link or activity indicators for the Ethernet port, which are often helpful for troubleshooting. The device itself is well made out of plastic, with a short (maybe 5β€³) USB cable. There are many similar devices at Revain, nothing really differs from others. The seller was open, so I knew beforehand it wouldn't work with the switch, and the lack of LEDs for the ethernet port is annoying. However, if the price is right I would recommend this to add a network port to your laptop .

Pros
  • Ethernet Adapter β–² 1000 Mbit/s - The USB 3.0 C to Gigabit Ethernet adapter allows you to convert your laptop's USB-C port into an RJ45 -Transform Ethernet connection which is more reliable and ultra-fast connection than WIFI connection. Backward compatible with Ethernet 10/100.
Cons
  • I don't remember
