Not sure why I hesitated to buy this. I spent $400 on a Shure SM7B and $100 on a mixer and thought that was enough. nope! The sound quality was still an issue so thank goodness I decided to give it a try because WOW! This greatly improved my sound quality! And it was so easy to use! Literally just plug it in and you're done. This little device essentially just boosts the volume of your mic, so you can turn off all your presets to cut out background noise. And he did great! Build Quality: Amazing, has a lot of weight and a smooth feel. It's made in America and it shows that I love supporting American businesses too. Value: It's pricey, but if you're paying $400 for a mic then you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't have one! I upgraded my Shure Sm7B from the SM58 and the jump wasn't as significant as adding this cloud lifter. Conclusion: This is a game changer and makes a difference DAY AND NIGHT with and without it. Outstanding quality and craftsmanship. I'm so glad I bought it, well worth it and when in doubt just BUY!
