This item is ideal for those who don't want to break through walls to install an outlet somewhere near the sink. Not to mention that its tech is kind of neat. The button works precisely because of the air pressure. Installation is so easy it took me no more than 5 minutes. All I did was figure out where in the kitchen sink cabinet I needed the outlet and screw it (the outlet) to the back wall. I then drilled a hole big enough for the button to fit snugly through and attached a lag screw to the back. Then I drilled another hole coming out the back corner of the cabinet to put the power cord through and then I pulled it through and plugged it into the outlet that was already there. DONE! I turned on the water, put some test feed in the disposer and hit the air switch and it was like magic, worked great and I really liked that I didn't have to do anything to turn my user on and off. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who either needs an easy install or doesn't want to do any rewiring. Oh yes, and let me not forget to tell you that the quality of this product is exactly the same as the nearly $60 version of the same Insinkerators switch.
