Liquid paste? Yes indeed, it pours from the bottle and spreads easily with a damp sponge. After a while, the wool on the floor will have small bumps and spots that don't look quite even. The combs are made of a semi-hard wax and rub into the wood very easily. I just put a towel out of the bin and rummaged around the room on a towel rag. And voila! Beautifully waxed and shiny floor. Very easy, very fast. Note that your wooden floor will be slippery for about half a day, but the wax will penetrate the wood and the slipperiness will disappear.
