Review on NAGAOKA MP 110H Cartridge Shell Japan by Daniel Aboubakar

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Hands down the best cartridge for the price

I recently bought an Audio Technica LP120 and some Wharfedale 225 Diamond speakers and was looking to upgrade my cartridge (AT95E) to something that would work with my system. I've researched all over the internet and asked a few DJ friends which cartridge I should get and everything pointed to this one. It seems to be something of a word of mouth among audiophiles - it certainly doesn't get the press that Ortofon and Audio Technically do. My guess is that if you're reading this review, like me, you've done a little research and now want to get feedback from a real person as to whether the ad is true. Zomfg. The excitement is right. I knew I could hear better sound based on everyone's descriptions, but I didn't think it would be that good. I'm not sure I can explain how much better my Nagaoka mp-110 recordings sound now. Such a noise. full. I hear everything: low, medium, high. Everything is clear. Surface noise reduced from 100% to 10%. If you're worried that this will make your records stop sounding like records, don't. You'll still hear some of those inevitable pops and crackles due to vinyl flaws, but now you won't hear the dust and cat hair you heard before :) So glad I got this little gem instead of the blue Ortofon got. Sounds amazing and costs half the price. And it came in a headcase, so all I had to do was snap it on. I measured the alignment and it was accurate. Cheers, Nagaoka, and thank you, Revane, for that.
