They beat the competition out of the water. I charge them after use and can put them on the shelf and just trust them to hold their charge when I use them a few months later. They're so good you'll hate anything that isn't Eneloop in your battery compartment. White Eneloops work great and have a similar durability (none were thrown away after 7 years of heavy use). They have a visceral sensation of 10-15% refreshment compared to Eneloop whites. I use the Pro for mission-critical workloads like smoke detectors and flashlights, and leave the whites for low-power applications like TV remotes.
