As others have noted, the micro USB port is very unreliable. They should have used the Mini instead. No problems so far, but the cover presses against the USB cable when plugged in. I've only had my device crash once and it came back with a hard reset. The device uses Windows CE (crazy) so it sometimes takes a long time to boot. It seems to go to sleep so the on time is reduced, but when it turns off completely it takes a while to boot up. The PC software is decent and you can take the temperature anywhere in the saved image. The dual camera and the MSX function are good. You don't need to install any software or drivers just to download pictures via USB, which is very convenient. The features and resolution are minimal but easy to use. I really don't understand why FLIR doesn't just sell this in the native 320x240 resolution. Obviously the cost of the equipment is so high that they can make this 320 x 240 block and sell it for less than $1000. So why not just sell it as a 320 x 240 device and then they can offer additional software features for an additional fee if they want. If they did, they would sell more and buyers would be happy with their purchase. It's just stupid to sell broken iron.
