I was looking for glassware that looks like my Crown Royal Rocks glass. I liked the feel (heavy bottom) and the transparency of the glass. It also wasn't tapered like most goggles I've found. These glasses are AMAZING. You have a heavy butt, just what I was looking for. Large ball jars are the same - without the cone, and you can stick your hand in the jar to scrape the bottom. Highly recommended. We have three people in our family so this set is perfect for us. Think about buying another set when the guests come.
