Review on ๐Ÿšฒ BV 4-Bike Bicycle Hitch Mount Rack Carrier - Tray Style Smart Tilting Design for Car, Truck, SUV (4-Bike Carrier) by Jeremy Hudson

I need a relaxing bike ride after taking on this build.

3 days, 3 trips to Home Depot, and another $60 later I finally assembled this bike rack. I pride myself on being able to pack my own stuff and I found it quite frustrating. There is no assembly video. The guide was decent at best. It is not known which class of coupling you need. And if you try to search for a company on Google, you won't find anything. I have never had a problem with my hitch until this post. I had to buy an adapter for the receiver. I then had to cut the adapter to fit the hitch. There's supposed to be a drive protection feature, but it was pretty much sent to hell as I had to get an adapter. My biggest complaint was that the supplied bolts to connect the two halves of the bike rack (four mount with two bikes on each half, then you put the two halves together) WERE NOT EVEN THE CORRECT BOLTS! I double/tripled checked; The two remaining bolts were supposed to go in the middle but I couldn't get them in! I had to spend money on new bolts and locknuts (the original locknuts didn't fit the new bolts - you see). Also, one of Lynch's clever pins wouldn't fit right either. Several holes were offset in such a way that they could not be plugged with grease and a hammer. All in all a disappointing experience - in my opinion I should have just gone with the rack type or spent more money on a better rack. I would return this rack in a hot minute but it weighs a ton and I'm out of the return window.
