I have to say that I really like our Eureka Optima. We've used it exclusively in our house for a number of years and only recently downgraded it to stair only status when we got a new Dyson on an exclusive offer in Sam's big box. However, it is almost impossible to find original Eureka-branded DCF-10s, and while the DCF-10 and DCF-14 are interchangeable, this one has a -14 design. Using it in our Optima made it difficult for me to slide the center tube down the plastic manifold trough. Not impossible, just harder to sit down fully. But the good news is that this one is still washable, so you can rinse/wash and reuse it many times. Just let it dry completely before storing it or mold will form.
