Review on πŸ”ͺ Enhance Precision and Detail with the Yonico 13182Q Edging Molding Router by Jay Maryland

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Highly recommended for power tools and hand tools

I ordered two of these about ten days ago and received them in reasonable time. I am very satisfied with their work and I would recommend this manufacturer to anyone looking for value for money. I bought these to support the nearly 850 linear feet of 2x6 Doug Fir I was preparing for the rails and crossbars on the outside deck. I ordered two because I was pretty sure one was going to get a little boring before I finished my project and didn't want to order a second one. That's how one punch did its job and didn't even breathe heavily on the last step. Throughout the project, the clipping was clean and crisp, and the felt pressure needed seemed consistent from start to finish. Fir has a reputation for cracking, especially at the ends. I had no trouble pulling it off, but smoothed the ends out a bit. I trimmed the bumps and blades a bit, but I suppose I'd have no problem just letting it snap. I have some more expensive beats including a few Freuds. I honestly can't say that these Jonicos should be hidden away in a box of shame while my Freuds sit on my bench. 9/16 ogee is a good test of the quality of a bit manufacturer. It struggles enough with a fairly heavy stock removal that a satisfactory performance speaks for its manufacturer. And in Yonico's price brackets, that's not a problem. I appreciated my experience with these bits so much that I ordered a set of 70. Just a quick note: I went through the entire project in two passes. The last time I did this edging with an expensive router, I started by cutting a 45 degree bevel with a table saw to remove a large piece of material so it could be cut more easily. I'm just as happy with my experience with these Yonico bits.
