Less watts, less heat, probably more power than a 500w CF unit.
Works great so far. I almost finished my first grow with it. (3 weeks left) I use it in a 2x4x6 foot grow tent in a cheap mount. I won't know how well this works until I've harvested and measured the yield, but for now the plants are looking really good. This lamp produces less power than the 500 watt CF-8 T5 lamp I used previously.
