First, this speaker is very solidly built. It feels like it could be run over by a truck and not damaged. His body is very strong. I can see the main speakers through the VERY solid grille. They are well positioned to surround you with excellent stereo projection. The woofer is passive and not very impressive. However, active loudspeakers make up for this with a large bandwidth, crisp highs and tight bass. I would put the speaker on its side to get the most out of a passive woofer. The volume rocker on the other end is a nice touch, and toggles from the up and down buttons on the side. You'll have to get out of the habit of putting a speaker on that end lest you damage that controller. I don't think he's hardened against hard hitting. So it's best to listen to it lying on your side with the panel facing down. In this way you get the maximum out of both active loudspeakers. Overall I am very happy with the quality of the speaker and the quality of sound it produces. Five stars.
