I am completely disgusted with the increase in spam. Although I've tried all other means to put an end to this, spam has increased rather than decreased. Then, to make matters worse, they sent me my full name and address on the outside of giant envelopes and mail order catalogs and on the catalog pages! In today's society where identity theft is on the rise, there is too much information available for the wrong person. Under these circumstances, my old Aurora strip-cut shredder couldn't get the job done and couldn't get the job done because the shredded pieces could contract. Now I needed a shredder that would shred the material into tiny bits and I was very amazed when I saw a demonstration of this Royal Micro-Cut shredder! As a result I came across Revain and took the plunge and snagged it for the price knowing the features include the ability to shred credit cards, staples, paper clips and more! As a result I am very satisfied! It looks like the dog chewed on the papers after the shredder did its job. With this royal micro cut, you can rest assured that your financial documents, canceled checks, personal old documents, etc. CANNOT be stitched together. This shredder does the job! Now the other side of the coin. It may not be for you if you need it for a home business or have a lot of documents because while it's capable of shredding 5 sheets at once, I'm not. I'm retired and have time to thin out my pieces to ensure I take care of a shredder that works great but ends up being good value. I wouldn't advise you to tyrannically handle this shredder like a commercial shredder. Although I no longer use my Aurora, after 4/5 years it still works perfectly and it was cheap too. Realistically considering the size, cost and intended use of this grinder, this purchase could be a great bargain for you, as it was for me.
