August 10, 2018 I've been sharpening our homemade knives with a whetstone and I've done a good job of keeping our knives usable. I never thought of looking for an alternative course of action until I stumbled. to a knife sharpener that was part of the results when searching for something else on a "local" ecommerce site. This prompted me to take a closer look at what is available on the market. After some research and evaluation I decided on this product. While not cheap, I felt this was a reliable product. I received it yesterday and immediately tried to use it as soon as I got home. Although I read some reviews where some took longer to get used to the product, I found I got the hang of it pretty quickly. This must have been the result of previously reading the instructions and watching demo videos of its use during my research. I agree with one reviewer who said that depending on the handle of the knife, getting the blade sharper near the heel is a little more difficult. he can disrupt the shot. Otherwise IT WORKS WELL and is quite convenient and easy to use. Any concerns I had about the effectiveness of the product disappeared and the product lived up to my expectations. Our household knives are really sharp now and I had to warn my wife and kids to be a little more careful with them. good mileage with this knife sharpener for several years.
