Short-lived cutlery and knife accessories

It seemed like the perfect tool for quick use of kitchen knives. At first it worked fine. But after about 4 hours of use on different knives it became so dull it was almost unusable. Will try to get a refund, but often the consumer pays to return defective products to Revain.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Not sure

I've forgotten what it's like to use a sharp knife.

I first bought one of these 3 slotted knife sharpeners and it didn't sharpen my knives as much as I would like. Then I bought a whetstone and, well, I don't know how to use it. Then I saw an advertisement for this device on the internet and decided that I wanted to try it. Boy am I glad I did that. I've completely forgotten what it's like to use a sharp knife. This is a miracle device.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Slightly torn

60€ is definitely not worth it.

Fits some knives. It certainly makes them less dull, but I've yet to get the edge as thin as a rock or a professional sharpener (which costs a few bucks a blade and lasts quite a while). Does nothing for my JA Henckel Santoku style knife. I'm using professional Forschner and Henckels tools here so I don't think it's the quality of the blade and I've sharpened quite a few knives in my life. This may be user error, but I think the sharpener is overpriced for something that "just works fine"…

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Large and chunky

For flat sharpening symmetrical edges and single-edged or serrated blades, this is pretty damn effective. This will definitely sharpen the blade better than you might need in your kitchen. And if it's so spicy; What a pleasure to cut food with ease. But that's not how you might want to store a very expensive blade or set. There are different levels of blade care that require different profiles of how the blade is sharpened and brought to the cutting edge. If you can afford it, it's great if you

THE REAL DEAL!: Cutlery and Knife Accessories

Very easy to use and sharpens everything I throw at it. I've tried stones, a spatula, and other sharpeners, but nothing is easier, quicker, or produces a sharper blade than this sharpener. Sure, you can spend over $500 for a quality sharpener to shave your knives with, but it takes 10x the time, takes 10x the effort, costs 10x the money and why should I OR having to shave a tomato or steak?! I have used this sharpener on a very expensive set of Seki City Japanese 12 degree damascus steel…

I found it effective and comfortable after the first use.

August 10, 2018 I've been sharpening our homemade knives with a whetstone and I've done a good job of keeping our knives usable. I never thought of looking for an alternative course of action until I stumbled. to a knife sharpener that was part of the results when searching for something else on a "local" ecommerce site. This prompted me to take a closer look at what is available on the market. After some research and evaluation I decided on this product. While not cheap, I felt this was a…

It works, but is it worth the price?

I made a mistake and bought this after trying to cancel my order for another similar sharpener that was about half the price. Well the first one wasn't canceled I used it then I got this one. Long story short, I'm stuck with two similarly designed sharpeners. I have to give one away, but this gave me a unique opportunity to compare them side by side. Suitable for you: Most importantly, both work great. Another cheaper one sharpened just as well as this one and now all my knives are pretty…
