This tool is very durable and works as intended. However, the "big" side of the tool only works with specific ports that its side fits around. Not all fittings have the same diameter. For example, plastic fittings are typically larger in diameter than brass fittings. This renders the tool useless for plastic fittings or others that do not match the side diameter. I found this SharkBite tool (SharkBite PROD3810) with AUTO ADJUSTABLE sides that works well with all the brass and plastic fittings I've tried. Also, it's a bit more versatile as it can be used for 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" and 1" sanitary fittings as described.
