Do not buy this lock. I used it for the first time today (after making sure it worked at home) and after tying my bike to a pole in Midtown Manhattan, the key wouldn't open the lock when I came back. I just bought this lock and it doesn't work. And, perhaps coincidentally, the same thing happened with my previous lock of the same model. But it happened a few years later, so I figured it was just aging or something. But now I'm pretty sure it was a lock. Especially after finding several other online discussions of people describing the same problem. They said they don't put fat on it. The fact is that for some reason the insides don't match. My bike is still stuck in Manhattan and I can't come back until Wednesday to try and pick it up. And in the meantime it should rain now. How can a large lock company sell locks that don't work? Thank you Kryptonite.
