Rubber 295x40x21 got complete with MB GL350. Previously, I had never ridden on such wide tires, and on all-wheel drive too. I drove it for 1 summer season, from April 2022 to October 2022, about 25,000 km mileage. The tires were already shabby, but for the season I decided to leave them with a depth of about 4-5mm in the front, and about 5-6mm in the back. At first, it was very scary to go along the track and change lanes on the Hong Kong Ring Road, but then I got used to it. I would not say that the car throws a lot when rebuilding, rather it is for all wide wheels and this is a matter of habit. It goes very well in a rut, handling is very good. (I compare it with the different-wide low-profile bridgestones on the car of the wife of the MB GLK - it throws so that the heart stops) When it hits the water at a hydroplaning speed, I didn’t notice much, perhaps because of the weight of the car. - hydroplaning is the same! I won’t even compare with different-wide Breeches at the GLC - you can’t drive into a puddle on them at all). I probably agree about self-tapping screws, I picked up 3-4 pieces during the season, but I thought that this was due to the wear of the wheels. In terms of noise, there is nothing to say, in my opinion moderately. Compared to the Yokohama winter Velcro, it is noisier, but this is due to the fact that the Velcro itself is softer. In terms of wear resistance, I can say that the sidewalls on the front end were worn out, I don’t know why. The collapse is done, the balancing is the same. (on the GLC, by the way, the Bridge is similar) In terms of tenacity and controllability on a straight line, it behaves perfectly, both in dry and wet weather. It rows decently on sand and mud, but the stopping distance on a sandy road is longer than on the same Starex with a narrow profile. I love active driving, and speeds of 140-180 are in the order of things. Naturally, in wet weather, you don’t press the sneaker like that anymore and it will carry you into turns at high speeds on any rubber. I have not decided what to take for the new season. I tend to Yokohama Advan Sport V105T 295/40 R21 111Y. If I take, I will supplement the review with a comparison after the season.
