You'll need some parts from your old pump, so don't throw anything away until you're done. Newer pumps have a reset switch instead of a fusible link, so some newer parts cannot be used. Replacing these pumps costs over $400. So a repair kit and 30 minutes of your time is a good deal. The recovery isn't difficult, but I recommend checking out the instructions on You Tube. The kit is great and a refurbished pump should last as long as a new one. Our electric motor has been wearing out for a long time, membranes are a different story. I have 2-3 years before they fail and the pump shuts down.
