For the money this is a good buy. Mounting hardware is typical for the price range; I would suggest using something like EZAncor anchor locks as your best option (a few bucks at the hardware store). After mounting the hardware to the wall, the shelf is attached to the hardware with two set screws. When I first ordered a shelf there were no holes drilled in the mounting brackets so there was no room for the set screws! I contacted the company and they refunded my money, after which I re-ordered the shelf and installed it without incident. FYI, depending on which wall mount holes you use (there are 5 or 6 available in the box), there may be some lateral play to help with shelf positioning, but there is no way to vertically adjust the hardware during assembly. This means you have to be very careful where you place the wall anchors if you want a perfectly level shelf.
