Review on AGPtek® Universal Temperature Controller Fahrenheit by Bryan Murphy

Revainrating 1 out of 5

After about a week there is no output on the primary relay.

I specialize in instrumentation, I wanted to use it to control the fermentation temperature of wine or bottled beer in winter Heating jackets 30W. Came quickly; The instructions weren't terrible, but not what I would consider clear. However, there are good links here to help on YouTube. In any case, it worked fine for about a week, then the temperature started to drop, but the output light came on. Tried the usual, turned off power, checked programming, reprogrammed, relay didn't work. If I could hear the relay operating I would think it was something on my side but there is no click but the output light is on so it certainly looks like an internal fault. The second display can show the power off percentage and has a value of 100. To be honest if it worked it would get 5 stars it would be worth it. Would be very happy if it continues, it has what it takes to handle a light load. As I already made the box, installed the switch and fuse, I just ordered the SNR version, the output will be a solid state relay which I power. If it works, I'll change this rating to 4. There are other recent comments about relay issues, so this seems like the way to go.

Pros
  • Main output: Relay, normally open, AC 250V/3A DC 30V/3A COS¦Õ=1
Cons
  • Very expensive
