This rack has been fitted to a brand new Jamis Explorer 2 bike; Step 1: Unfold all parts and brackets, keep them visible. Step 2: See how the parts fit together and where they fit on the bike, look at the diagrams. Step 3 Take a set of metric allen wrenches, a small hammer and a pair of pliers. Step 4 Remove the bike seat. Step 5. Begin the installation with the seat back, extensions, post and then the rear supports (pay attention to the corner to keep it flat). Step 6 Keep track of how many mounts you use. Hopefully you already have some mounts in the frame as no replacement parts are included. Step 7 Inspect, install each bracket and use pliers. Gently bend the supports to align them before tightening the nuts and bolts (do not use force as the fasteners will strip the threads). Step 8 Adjust the seat and sit back to admire your work. You don't really need step 9. awesome at the end :-)
