Review on Nokian Tires Nordman RS2 185/65 R15 92R winter by Stanislaw Dwojak ᠌

Great value for money, one of the best offers.

Having traveled on Michelin X-ice3, and after studded Pirelli Ice Zero, I decided to return to Velcro, because I didn’t feel the advantage of studded Pirelli after the bear, but a couple of times I almost flew in because of the studs on the pavement. Due to the limited budget, I decided to get by on inexpensive tires for the season. I bought myself an Optima and my wife a Solaris. As a result, I am completely satisfied with the rubber, there are weaknesses. I drove 8000 km on roads with different surfaces, of which 300 km I drove along Finka on bare ice (yes, yes, it happens), a little bit sprinkled with pebbles, of course I was strained, but the rubber behaved quite decently, on the highway 100 km / h and even slowed down , but on a slippery winding road I had to keep 60-70 km / h. Although in the suburbs the ice was more icy) On a Solaris, the tires behave more organically and confidently, at the optimum of 245 forces on a monodrive, it’s hard to get under way on a slippery road. As a conclusion - I will leave it for one more season. Ideally for weak cars or all-wheel drive. More expensive counterparts do not have as significant advantages as the price is higher.

Pros
  • Barred rubber, holds the ice well on braking and cornering, not bad with hydroplaning
Cons
  • It does not hold porridge well, especially if there is ice under it, a low speed index, it is difficult to get under way on ice.
