Excellent marker for steel

I gave up on metal marking pencils and really don't need the accuracy of a scribe and thought I'd give these a try. I was NOT disappointed. They work great leave lines that are easy to see and dries very quickly. If you need a very thin line then use a scribe. These work best for marking steel for cutting where you have a little (maybe a 32nd inch) tolerance. If you need more accuracy than that a scribe, as mentioned, may be a better option. But for most of us that cut and weld steel or other…

Pros
  • they make a grate tool that works
Cons
  • The tip may be too sharp or too blunt, leading to inconsistent marks or damage to delicate surfaces

NOT for oilfield work.

NOT for oilfield work. I had high hopes for these markers. They may work well for super clean iron but I only got about a minute and a half of use out of a single pen.

Pros
  • Works great! Shows up on dark surfaces like neon lights.
Cons
  • The ink can bleed through some materials, leaving messy and imprecise marks

Don’t recommend good for me

If you make a mark over 3” long the marker dries out and fades. A Paint stick is much quicker and shows up better as well. Great marker.

Pros
  • Great marker
Cons
  • The markers may not be compatible with some protective coatings or finishes, potentially damaging the underlying material

Not recommended for pipe

These markers are not for marking pipe or do they hold up well to the Pipefitting industry. One mark on stainless and the end quit working. This happened twice before I said to hell with it and grabbed a sharpie

Pros
  • Very good markers for metal application. Would certainly purchase again.
Cons
  • Didn’t last too long marking parts in a machine shop. Just a 3

Does Not Work, Poor Coverage

These markers do Not work, especially over black or dark packing of items(see photo) or cases(ie.black plastics of ink cartridges). The markings are faint with poor coverage. They do Not work over metals(ie.metal framing, metal wheels)I ended up buying/using oil based markers from other manufacturers.Wasted $20 :(

Pros
  • Love these, work perfectly on black tubs for storage.
Cons
  • The ink may require multiple passes to achieve the desired level of opacity, adding time and effort to the marking process

Great product ! ;( - my new review

Excellent product. I could not be more pleased. I had previously left a one 1 star review, which was rejected because my " review did not adhere to the Revain Community Guidelines.” My comment was simply, they did not ship me what I ordered. How that is outside of the community guidelines I’m sure I will never understand

Pros
  • I love that they hang on my jeans perfectly
Cons
  • Don’t buy!

The ads not what you get

Well it's not what the ad says there was two white 2 yellow and two orange and no response from anyone and still no response from nobody

Pros
  • Great
Cons
  • The ink may not be resistant to fading or discoloration over time, leading to inaccurate or incomplete marking

Not recommended for raised letter tires.

Purchased to spruce up raised lettering on car tires. Very poor coverage, even after prepping. I would not recommend for this purpose.

Pros
  • Very nice, works well
Cons
  • All dried out

Definitely not "industrial "

Pretty useless markers. Little more than a glorified highlighter. The cap is very cumbersome to work with even when clipped to your shirt pocket. They are marketed as "industrial" but after some light use, the marker totally failed. It simply doesn't put out enough ink. I bought these to use for marking concrete and metal. I understand that they might not be made for that but still an "industrial" marker should have brought a better result. A good jobsite sharpie works way better and a paint pen

Pros
  • Works really well.
Cons
  • The ink may fade over time, making the marks less visible or inaccurate

Waste of money for my opinion

Does not mark well on most surfaces especially wet or slightly damp lumber, which is why I bought it in the first place. Definitely does not work as advertised.

Pros
  • These are more visible than a pencil or a scratched mark.
Cons
  • Won’t mark on metal half didn’t work right out of the box

Disappointing. good for me

The yellow markers were dry? No real paint or liquid in them. The other markers are fine and still in use. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Works well and lasts quite awhile. Even works on wet pipe.
Cons
  • These markers do not write well in cold wet weather.

Complete waste of money!

Work awesome for about the first hour and then they dry out and are unusable. Put the cap back on immediately and still didn't help. Used up the entire pack working on a 3 day welding project. TERRIBLE

Pros
  • Item works well. Exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend.
Cons
  • I paid almost $20 and they are dry and do not mark. I am very unhappy this product.

Doesn’t mark metal very well

I’m using a stencil and this marker on gun magazines. The marker didn't provide solid coverage. I had to apply multiple coats.

Pros
  • Love the custom cap design
Cons
  • The packaging may be inconvenient, with markers falling out or getting lost in transit

They work decent. They're not Paint Pens though.

I've used Paint Pens for close to 20 years. These work almost as well, but not quite. At least you don't have to constantly shake these, or get the tips primed. For what I needed, they work fine. Just don't expect to write a lot at once. They have to rest after a few words/long marks. The one-handed cap removal feature is kinda handy once you get used to it.

Pros
  • Write on everything I've tried so far.
Cons
  • The markers may not adhere well to oily or greasy surfaces, leading to smudging and smearing

No good for metal: my feedback

Please don't buy these to us on metal. They don't work! I'm a welder/fabricator and was hoping they would be better than the larger less precise mark of other paint markers. These don't mark.

Pros
  • Great marker. Much more permanent than other mainstream options.
Cons
  • The ink may not be waterproof, making it susceptible to smudging or running when exposed to moisture
